The premier champagne not only for Moët & Chandon, but the champagne world. Dom Pérignon (1638–1715) was a Benedictine monk and the celler master at the Abbey of St. Peter in Hautvillers, France - a 2 hour drive East of Paris at the center of the Champagne region. His attention to detail, vast process experimentation, artistic touch, and innovative creativity contributed to his becoming widely respected as the father of winemaking. Dom Pérignon developed new vineyard techniques, was the first to utilize cork, and repeatably produced clear wines, allowing for the development of storage and aging of wine and champagne, enhancing their taste even still.
These techniques created the Vintage heritage that has become the signature of Dom Pérignon Champagne. The champagne has always only used Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the top vineyards, providing for a classic taste that subtly varies from year to year.
This Vintage will be celebrated for years to come. It contains playful hints of cherry, pear, mango, brioche and cream. Sharp and fresh, with a gradual, smooth finish.
